Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. ImageMint loads pdf-lib and pdf.js once and runs the entire conversion in your browser. Your images and PDFs never leave your device — even on slow networks you can disconnect after the page loads.

Is there a limit on the number of pages or file size?

Accepted Answer

There is no artificial limit. The practical ceiling is your device memory. Phones handle ~50 page PDFs easily; modern laptops handle hundreds of high-resolution images at once.

Question 3

Will the PDF preserve image quality?

Accepted Answer

Yes. JPG images are embedded losslessly (the original DCT data is reused) and PNG images are embedded as-is. ImageMint never re-encodes them, so the PDF is bit-perfect.

Question 4

Why is my extracted JPG slightly different from the original PDF?

Accepted Answer

pdf.js rasterizes vector content (text, shapes) into pixels, so the result depends on the chosen render scale. Use a higher scale (3x or 4x) for printing or OCR.

Question 5

Can I convert password-protected PDFs?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. ImageMint does not prompt for passwords. Remove the password in your viewer (e.g. Preview on macOS, Adobe Reader on Windows) first, then re-upload.
