FAQ
Why can't Windows open HEIC files?
HEIC uses the HEVC codec which requires licensing. Windows can open them with the HEVC extension from Microsoft Store ($0.99) or by converting to JPEG.
Will I lose quality?
Minimal loss at JPEG quality 90. Both HEIC and JPEG are lossy formats, so the conversion is very efficient.
Can I convert HEIC to WebP instead?
